Officially established in January 2012, the “Amici della Mongolfiera” Association is active as a space dedicated to interculture and the growth of a multi-ethnic awareness in an open and welcoming society.  Right from the start he carried out activities related to detention and migrants; the Institute in which we operate is Torre del Gallo di Pavia , a prison that houses more than  600 inmates divided into "Protected" and "Municipalities".

Protected inmates are mostly  sex offenders or collaborators of justice; The pavilion that hosts them was inaugurated in 2013 and is compliant with all its environments.  Inside the prison in 2013 we activated a creative reading and writing workshop with a group of common inmates who participated with great enthusiasm; the success of this workshop led the Association to present a project on interculture in prison called "Tra Storia e Storie, Intercultura"; the laboratory was made up of inmates from all over the world and guided by linguistic and cultural mediators who brought hot tea from different places to each meeting. At the end of the project, in February 2014, the course went on and is still active; in December 2017 he was involved in a national project on Multireligiousness proposed by the Regional Superintendency of Penitentiary Administration. In 2014 the creative writing workshop moved to the protected prisoners' pavilion and is still active today.

Inside the prison, the Association has also activated the immigration desk in order to facilitate the understanding of the rules governing the renewal of residence permits and which in general concern immigration. We have also worked to take the prisoners' work out of the prison, for example by organizing catering services with the food cooked inside the prison.

The International Association of Education, Training and Innovation Almada Mundo, is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 and whose social objective is the development of activities in support of education, training and innovation aimed at each group of age, giving particular attention to adults. Almada Mundo's mission consists in the commitment to

social construction through education, training and innovation based on common values centered on the person, multi-interculture and human potential; another objective is to intervene in social realities  aiming in particular at the inclusion, transformation and emancipation of the person, in a local, national and international network. Almada Mundo aims to contribute to the development of education, training and innovation systems in an inclusive, emancipatory and full participation perspective. The organization is guided by the principles of evaluation of the person, knowledge, innovation, built on the network and aimed at  sharing of learning and practices in the interaction of innovation and information policies at local, national and international level. This favors linguistic and cultural diversity while safeguarding the personal heritage of humanity.

 

In order to achieve these objectives, the aims of Almada Mundo are:

-Developing processes of change at community level and at the level of education and training through the dynamism of education, training and innovation.

-Promote professional and academic mobility for a global education, both nationally and internationally, respect for cultural and linguistic diversity and the recognition of the person, of the values of knowledge and experience

- Activate training procedures that encourage autonomy, research, innovative and effective practices by linking training to different contexts, expectations and needs

- Provide for the creation of digital learning and training conditions ensuring the transversality of "ICT and multimedia" in the training processes

-Stimulate and consolidate the attitudes and methodologies of collaborative work by developing new skills and knowledge by sharing the production and research of new practices

-Establish with each local, national and international organization forms of cooperation consistent with the social objectives of the association

-Create structures and develop partnerships that encourage sharing and exchange with local, national and international associations and institutions in the areas of education, training and innovation

-Establish specialized committees and working groups to analyze and  consider issues related to education, training and innovation

-Evaluate the multicultural territory of Almada, in its potential socio-cultural diversity, in the dimensions of dialogue, collaboration, integration and inclusion for the promotion of a global development, based and supported on the quality of education in the case of references, in the education of adult, non-formal, with a lifelong learning perspective based on universal values that give rise to the motto: "Be Almanda in the World; Be the World in Almada."

Federaciòn Enlace

Andalusian Federation Enlace is a non-profit federation working in Andalusia, focusing on the fields of drug addiction, social exclusion and criminal justice. Enlace was founded in 1991 and has a long experience  in the social reintegration of prisoners, designing and implementing intervention and training programs for more than 25 years. ENLACE's experience is both national and European.

-The national experience : it is a key player in the implementation of social policies in southern Spain, working in close relationship with the Spanish administration. Since the year 2000, ENLACE has been coordinating a legal counseling program for people with drug addictions in Andalusia, including prisoners. The program has helped more than 20,000 people, promoting their reintegration and reducing recidivism

  -The European experience : ENLACE is a member of the Forum on Civil Society in the European Commission on drugs; being an important partner of the drug policies of the European Union  and promoting an alternative use of incarceration. ENLACE has experience in the implementation of European activities and is a collaborator in the funded project "Alternative to detention: identification and exchange of good practices" which was carried out by LIBRA ONLUS (Italy).

Thèatre de l'Opprimé

The L'Opprimé Theater Association (TO) is a non-profit organization and gives its name to both the theater company and the theater where it performs. The company proposes a theatrical methodology created in Brazil by Augusto Boal during the dictatorship in the 70s. Rui Frati worked with him and now, as artistic director of TO has continued to promote  this theatrical methodology in France and abroad with the company. They mainly use the "Forum Theater" , the most important method developed by Augusto Boal. Its goal was to give visibility to social and political conflicts by giving a voice to the marginalized groups oppressed under the totalitarian regimes of the time. The "Forum Theater" focuses on current problems; the company builds shows that propose problematic models on controversial topics with conclusions that stimulate the intervention and participation of the public. The audience, through a suggestion from the director (called the Joker), is thus invited to reflect on how best to resolve the conflict of the plot. The audience members thus become Spectators-Actors and join the scene through comparison and interaction with the other characters, thereby inspiring new ideas, alternatives, and the will to change the situation. Working together, the actors  and viewers will find new solutions to conflicts  brought to the stage. "Being a citizen does not mean living in society, but changing it!" Said Augusto Boal.

In addition to the "Forum-Theater", the company conducts workshops and training courses in different situations: prisons, schools, universities, recovery communities, institutions  public and businesses. These actions allow the company to build and preserve a large following by making the theater more accessible.  Despite acting primarily in France, the company has also worked in  other countries  including Italy, Brazil, Palestine, Burundi, Iran, Taiwan, Morocco, Romania, Portugal, Chile, Spain and Germany for both shows and workshops. As an artistic place, the TO promotes new creations, especially from emerging companies. There is a will to be a place in Paris where new artists bring their work to light. Each season begins  with the festival  "Pleins Feux sur la Jeune crèation" which allows young artists to present their works. The administrative staff is made up of 4 people and four temporary workers, while the company is made up of 15 actors.

Provincia di Pavia is a local public body with its own statute and its own regulations. Its responsibility is to take care of the interests of the local community, promote and coordinate its development.

Its most important functions concern:

1) The management of the territorial space of the province of Pavia, its protection and development of the environment

2) The management of public transport throughout the province, the construction and repair of roads, and traffic management.

3) Data collection and analysis concerns and analyzes data, and administrative technical assistance for other local authorities

4) The management of school structures

5) Control of discriminatory phenomena e  the development of equal opportunities

6) Management  the strategic development of the territory and the management of services in associated forms

7) Management of institutional relations with the regions, other provinces e  local authorities; the province of Pavia also has functions delegated by the Lombardy region as regards the areas of culture, tourism and the social sphere; therefore, it often collaborates with organizations for purposes  cultural, social and civil by participating in social projects.  

The political bodies of the Province are:

1) The President of the Province

2) The Provincial Council

3) The Assembly of Mayors

The Province is divided into sectors for each activity; each sector is led by a person with specific skills. The Territorial Planning and Promotion of the Territory, the Community and the Person Sector is active in the Province. The manager who takes care of it is Dr. Anna Betto.
